//More than 4,000 unaccompanied children are already in the care of UK councils having fled conflicts in the Middle East and Africa. Last month, the Government agreed to take in 3,000 more in refugee camps across Europe, each of whom will cost £50,000 to resettle.//
I think Gromit might be right here.
I searched for all the questions you raised on immigration and asylum seekers, but I can't find where you made specific mention of this issue.
...but then again...I've only searched through the first fourteen pages. Can you help us by pinpointing exactly where you made this Nostradamus-like prediction?

Don't keep picking on AOG, he is merely stating the obvious which politicians should have picked up ages ago. How to sidestep the regulations & get to the UK quickly:-
1 Send your children on their own on a dangerous journey across hostile waters in a small boat that is not designed for the open sea.
2 Once they are picked up & transferred to a country ( UK) where the majority of the population bill & coo over ''The little ones'', then stage 3
3 Start the movement of '' We need to be with our children'' & demand entrance as political refugees to that country. I am not hard hearted about this system but it does appear to me to be well organised. The UK can only take a certain amount of immigration & we are rapidly reaching overspill.

Nah...no-one is picking on AOG.
He's made a point, and people have agreed and disagreed with him.
I know that the neocons on AB equate disagreement with bullying and trolling but that's because some of them would rather have no dissent whatsoever.
AOG isn't like that - he likes a good argument. I'm sure he will agree that he would be bored to death if all he had was bouquets and no brickbats.

Svejk,
It has long been accepted practice that adult immigrants can apply to have their familes brought over to live with them. You may disagree with that, but that is the law.
A judge has now made a reasonable interpretation that children should be afforded the same right. The law has not changed. The Judge has decided that it makes no sense to deny children the same rights as the adults.
Many of you have rightly claimed that immigrants will bring their kids here. But not vice versa.
You are welcome to not like this clarification of the law, but don't pretend you have warned against it.

Gromit @ 1229, I believe it got a mention by Retrocop and myself in the first 5 posts here

Thanks for that link Baldric, something must have gone wrong with both Gromit's and SP's extensive filing system on me.
But also to further correct them both, I did not specifically say that I had warned that this type of thing might happen, only that 'some of us' did.
Even so I remember that I also did, but simply cannot come up with firm proof to that fact, but what the hell, proof is that they are both wrong.
Awaits for an apology, long wait expected.

Baldric,
You and Retro did say it on that thread. I did not participate in that thread, so I am unlikely to have read your comments.
Worth re-say.ing The law has not changed, a judge has interpretted that the children should have equal rights, which in law seems correct. If you diagree with relocating families to this country in the first place, you will disagree with the Judge extending the right to children.
