I will repeat what I have already said on another thread.

He would be criticised vigorously if he had said it, svejk.

''I find it strange that Gisela Gschaider a 1974 immigrant from Germany is on the brexit panel telling us British what we should do''

She has been here 42 years and Alan Sugar (staunch remain) in the above sentence doesn't regard her as British.

Imagine a UKIP member saying similar about Mo Farah
Imagine a Labour politician had said it about Maurice Saatchi

An African immigrant telling 'us' British ...
An Iraqi immigrant telling 'us' British ...

double standards!

here's more from Alan Sugar waxing lyrical over this great union he is telling people and sending letters to telling them to stay.

Convincing innit!
Does this mean he thinks that anyone from another country shouldn't be able to vote? I'd like to see the result of that.
sp ..Just unacceptable?

Not xenophobic? not 'Little Englander' mentality?
-Talbot-

Absolutely.

I totally agree with all those sentiments.

But the fact remains - he has been shouted down by the Remain camp, hasn't he?

That's what the report suggests.
Also Lord Sugar, you can't 'immigrate to the U.K.' you illiterate idiot.

The Remain camp really don't need him spouting off.

Liability.

/// You're okay to go through my garbage, but I draw the line at you breaking in, and hiding in my shower. ///

I wouldn't dare to go as far as calling your supporters a 'shower'. :0)

Shouldn't that be pronounce 'shaaar' Terry Thomas-style (apologies, was watching the excellent 'School for Scoundrels' last night. Best British comedy ever made).

Sorry for the diversion...back to Lord Sugar.

Strange how the 'remain' campaign were so quick to play the racist card when a photograph, that had been reproduced in the past by almost the whole of the media without as much as a murmur, but when UKIP decided to use it on their campaign vehicle all hell broke loose.
AOG

I think it's because the Remain camp really[i despise Farage and UKIP for their use of immigration (appealing to unsavoury elements in the debate).

Notice how Boris, even though he is the de facto face of Vote.Leave gets much less flac?

I think it's because people know that whatever his politics, he isn't in any way aligned to UKIP.

It's almost impossible to imagine Boris standing in front of that poster, like Farage wearing a big cheesy grin and an ill-fitting suit.

...which is weird, because for the most part, Boris is [i]always] standing in front of something wearing a cheesy grin in an ill-fitting suit.
Full Definition of immigrate

immigrated immigrating
intransitive verb

: to enter and usually become established; especially : to come into a country of which one is not a native for permanent residence
transitive verb

Where are the real grammer police to either tell sp not to post that thought to Sugar or ... yes go get him sp.
Just found his tweet

I didn't think he said what you typed, sp

''I am not.The irony that a person who immigrated from Germany to uk is now telling us to control immigration from EU''

/// I think it's because the Remain camp really[i despise Farage and UKIP for their use of immigration (appealing to unsavoury elements in the debate). ///

The remain camp, despise the mention of immigration per-se, strange that when immigration is the major concern of the highest proportion of the electorate.
-Talbot- I was going by the link to the Mail.
-Talbot-

The rest of the grammar police are over at the Daily Express, rounding up great swathes of their readership.

The correct term would have been:

"She emigrated from Germany to the UK"

The driving noun in that sentence is Germany.

Immigrate is 'from the point of view of the destination'.
It must be the stupidest thing ever said by an Apprentice host...or not...
AOG

And even stranger that the Leave camp aren't being honest about the fact that immigration really isn't going to change that much if we leave the EU.

We will have a choice of who and how many we allow into our country, FACT.

We will be able to kick out any non British out of our country, without the ECHR demanding that they stay so as to enjoy a family life or any other such ridiculous excuse, FACT.

We will see an end to unscrupulous employers taking advantage of cheap slave labour, at the expense of well paid British jobs, FACT.

Etc, Etc, Etc.

Would you by a used car off either of these?

ANOTHEOLDGIT, we already have a choice on the number of non-EU immigrants at the moment so how is it the net immigration figure for them is higher than the EU immigrants?
