The victory for the Leave side in the referendum means that my political ambition has been achieved. I came into this business because I wanted us to a self-governing nation, not to become a career politician.
Ukip is in a good position and will continue, with my full support to attract a significant vote. Whilst we will now leave the European Union the terms of our withdrawal are unclear. If there is too much backsliding by the Government and with the Labour Party detached from many of its voters then Ukip’s best days may yet to come”, he added.
Like Sampson he took down the "temple" that was the EUSSR.
It looks like Juncker is to take a fall.

Eddie....whatever else Farage is, he is certainly no fool.
He knows that Farage meant UKIP, meant Farage....the two were effectively the same. Now that UKIP's task is complete, the Party has very little future left. He doesn't want to go down as previous ones have, like Alan Sked, Kilroy-Silk, and Goldsmith before them.
Where will UKIP go from here ? The Party has now lost its one and only star.

Just like on here too many people dont like the truth and hate it when somebody gets straight to the point instead off faffing around in endeless circles....
Nigel doesnt mince his words he'll get straight to the headlines and they probably feel he wont help as the people he would be dealing with all have their own little empires to protect and will happily use due process, protocol etc to drag things on and on and on and....

Ladybird...and neither does it mean that Leadsom is going to be the next Tory Leader !
The difficulty with Farage is that he would poison any negotiations that he was allowed to take part in.
The current UK government should be capable of sorting this situation out.
This government was elected just over 12 months ago, to great acclaim here on AB, so why should a failed, ex-Leader of a minor party be involved ?

Au contraire. He is the only person near politics who has the guts to fight the EU. He would not walk away with nothing as Cameron did. He would not cave in to a compromise on their terms. I believe the EU have a certain amount of respect for Mr Farage and may be hold him in awe. He certainly spoiled poker faced Merkel on many a day when the truth hit her. As he said,"No one in the EU is laughing at him now"
