Young women usually get other stuff ripped off when spifflicated as well!!!!
I remember that being on TV Mamya...can’t remember which series. I am not sure whether he’s still the only Muslim in the UK with a guide dog.
It would be nice to think he isn't, true.
There is one guy (Muslim) with a guide dog, I remember reading about it - but generally Muslims are afraid of dogs. My pupils told me that they were inhabited by demons and should be shunned unless the dogs concerned were from perfect backgrounds. I assured them that my crossbred was from verified parents and they were OK with it.

At least the authorities acted appropriately - but there is a long way to go before ancient attitudes change. :(
its not only Muslims. There is a woman who lives near me who thinks my dogs are dirty and dangerous and should not be allowed. She has told me (at the top of her lungs) and the council as much.
hc and Jourdain, its the same bloke as in Mamya’s vid.
I have come into this thread a little late, but its obvious that Islam has nothing against the blind.

As I see it, this was the action of one misguided individual, who was given the sack. I can't see this is an "Islamic" issue, but instead one of stupidity and ignorance. He isn't the first taxi driver to object to dogs in the back of his cab, irrespective of religion, and he is unlikely to be the last.
