It started last week sinder, and its very good too.
In the late 60s & early 70s when I was working in the Scilly Isles, the projectionist at the small cinema used to be coxswain on the lifeboat, and if they were called out, the Movie stopped, and everybody had to leave.
And nobody ever complained!!!!!!

I learn every day. When I sailed the coastal waters of the UK and Biscay I always had an up to date Silk Cut Almanac to refer to for tide tables and some pilotage help. There always used to be a page/proforma surrendering salvage rights to those who rescued you in case of breakdown and requiring a tow to shore. That always, in those days, included the RNLI I thought. I would never begrudge anyone of them a penny if that was once true though. I was on the verge of calling a SAR chopper on one night voyage and no doubt an RNLI boat would of attended as well.
