Occasionally I see ABers talk about how Hillary is "no better than Trump" or in fact, that Trump is better than Hillary.

Can anyone tell me why they think this?

With the Ed here. It seriously worries me that anybody with an iota of intelligence would vote for Trump. How could anybody take him seriously. And the USA would be a dangerous laughing stock to the rest of the world.

What is the provenance of the you tube video? It seems to suggest that throughout her long career Clinton has not been entirely consistent in her opinions: there must be hundreds of these sloshing about for politicians of all hues. I remember the fun we remain folk got from Boris compilations just to name but one. So as I say, heaps of political baggage, and lots of points that political opponents can raise, especially Americans I'd have thought: but I'm still somewhat baffled by the strength of feeling esp on this side of the Atlantic. Hawkish on foreign policy: that'll do for me. Experienced and wise and for all the stuff that's gone before a politician with gravitas and dare I say it sense, versus a combover charlatan with an easy line in patter, a highly dubious business record, a talent for confrontation, zero experience in politics which sadly seems to be a turn-on for many these days. That'll do me as well.
Shame I can't vote really :-)

Trump values Brexit, adding UK would be 1st in queue for trade deals. Clinton (ventriloquist dummy) has UK last.

Trump can challenge Putin, whereas Putin would blackmail Clinton over her emails.

Trump is self financed. Clinton is financed by Saudis (who support ISIS).

I fail to see what impact they'd have on our lives so why waste bandwidth and time talking about people who have no influence us at all unless we have another idiot demon eyed politician who wants to stand "Shoulder to shoulder" with a superpower who don't and have never needed us.

Have you see the graffiti written by some US soldiers berating our armed forces? They berated out monarchy, the way we live and call our boys the "Borrowers'" due to the fact that we went abroad to fight wars without the correct army attire,artillery that jammed and were the laughing stock of all other soldiers that were there.

Were we called to help capture Bin Laden,or any of the other key figures of Al Qaida? Isis? The Taliban?

No the US just went ahead with their plans without even a whisper to our head commanders of what was taking place?

I've said that Trump would edge it for me (T.G. it's not my decision) because he is more of an unknown and may possibly, just possibly, turn out better than the proven villainess, Clinton. I don't know what the American public have done to deserve this choice.

At the very least he is pro UK and sees Brexit as a positive. Words are not good, but they have had George Dubbya to practise on and should be better able to handle the Trump. Choice of 2 evils - 1 is certain (Clinton) the other is suspected...... so......

When I hear all the teeth gnashing on here from the right on brigade, I pray for a Trump win just to see their smug self righteous elitist little faces. Well metaphorically, on here, anyway. As with the brexit vote there'll be months of whining and whimsical outpourings of false "grief" because the nasty old public have voted the "wrong" way. Can't wait for Trumpaggedon.

This is the feeling I get.

Naomi mentioned that Trump is saying things Americans think, and agree with.

Could someone explain why THEY support Trump? What his redeeming features are?

I'm looking for the positives.

He says things as they are, I agree with many things he is talking about even if I dont agree with the way he sometimes puts it. But then he is appealing to the American people not me so he will use rhetoric they will appreciate.

Like TTT I would like the Establishment (Hillary represents this in this particular bout) bashed back on their heels. Right-on liberalism has caused many of the problems we have in the West today. It needs addressing, Trump through self funding can do this.
