Any professional in health care who flouts their position and puts anyone at risk by their actions should be brought to book in my opinion.

I think that might be something of a cynical and overly simplistic view - perhaps you were being sarcastic, it's hard to tell in print.
//Maybe far-flung strife-torn places should be left to get on with stuff themselves. //
That's all very well, but if you leave 'stuff' like hugely infectious diseases to travel around the world unchecked, those 'far flung places' can get a lot closer really quickly!

Will not face charges of dishonesty. No case to answer. Ms Cafferkey's decision-making was impaired due to illness on her return from Sierra Leone.
In which case I don't see how one can can go ahead with submissions on allowing an incorrect temperature to be recorded and leaving without reporting her true temperature. Either she isn't responsible due to impaired decision making, or she is. It seems to suggest authorities want it both ways.
