True Hillary shows an unhealthy support for Israel, but that is a requirement of the job. It has been true of every President, Democrat or Republican, since the modern state of Israel was established. A US President who does not support Israel is unthinkable.

I don't get what the problem is with supporting Israel.
The state of Israel is a fait accompli, so to OT support it makes no sense
There are basically two attitudes to Israel amongst ME regimes: support it and admit it or support it and don't admit it :-)
Doesn't mean that you don't support an accommodation for Palestine also to a greater or lesser degree. But don't forget Gaza is blockaded by Egypt as well as Israel...

Well I don't disagree with that, but when it comes down to it there's little the US or anyone else can do. I don't think they do support the settlement expansion do they? What I meant was that 'supporting Israel' in general terms is not the issue. Palestine is very badly served by it's own leadership also.

Fair enough, EDDIE, but a lot of people (not just me) think he is ineffectual and that his weakness has given encouragement to the rise of Russian imperialism and all that that draws along with it. :)

Certainly I agree that the current 2 follow-on candidates fail to measure up to even Obama's weaknesses. Not a good choice, i.m.o.. Glad I don't have to vote there!
