I fear for the once beautiful country in which I was born. Make no mistake that In 50 years time, this country will be ruled by Muslims and the national faith will be Islam. That is of course unless we wake up and prevent this from happening, one can only hope, for the good of the future's young.

/// I'm no Mother Teresa and am not in anyway trying to save these people from the evil grip of medias mass hype tactics but am just trying to educate and be a small and humble voice of reason on some of these posts also there could be people of other persuasions and religions who want to join the site or join in the debate but are too in fear to do so. ///
Perhaps there are none who fear to join, but the lack of support is due entirely to your type of thinking being in the minority?
/// I'd like them to know that we're not all of the same thinking and some of us welcome them and stand side by side with them as should any passionate human should. ///
Would those be, only from those who support your particular agenda?

“Have any of you actually been there and experienced this or do we just blindly follow what the media force feeds us and take what they say as "Gospel"?”
You seem to be in complete denial about this problem, Lunol.
Anybody who seems to agree with the point of view put forward by the press is immediately challenged by you. Whilst I have not been to Savile Town I have been to plenty of places that are almost as bad. In the same way that I explained about East London yesterday, I have been to plenty of places, particularly in the north of England and the Midlands where Islam is the predominant culture, where Muslims far and away outnumber the remainder of the population, where English is barely spoken and where non-Muslims feel decidedly uneasy. I will accept that the article – particularly some of the passages you pick out – seems a little over the top. But it is the Daily Mail. But this phenomenon is not a conspiracy by the press to engender Islamophobia.
“I'd like them to know that we're not all of the same thinking and some of us welcome them and stand side by side with them..”
You’d be hard pushed to “stand side by side” with the people in places like Savile Town. Get out there and have a look for yourself and you will see that not everywhere is the delightful cultural melting pot that you suggest exists in Bethnal Green. Have you been down the Barking Road as Naomi and I suggested yesterday? Leave it until about 2pm tomorrow.
“This isn’t about Islam per se, or about superior knowledge or otherwise, but about the impact that the growing population of Islam is having upon this country.”
Naomi is quite right. I have little knowledge of Islam other than, in common with most religions, it thrives on outdated mumbo-jumbo and fear of non-compliance. This is not about the Koran or what it “teaches”. It is about the pernicious influence the religion and its followers have had upon the UK. It is about the effect its followers have had on areas like East London and Savile Town. If you read the Mail article fully you will find there are also quotes from other journalists – some from the Guardian and the BBC – who similarly describe the situation. They cannot all be liars.
You seem quite happy to see parts of the UK become Muslim enclaves with all the unpleasantness that presents for non-Muslims. Quite how you’d feel if you lived in such a place is not clear. Personally I find Islam offensive. I find its intolerance of other religions (and of those with none) completely unacceptable; I find its subjugation of women appalling; I find its views on gay people abominable; I find some of its requirements totally unrealistic to lead a life in the UK in the 21st Century; I find some of the principles on which its Sharia “Councils” make their judgements completely incompatible with UK law. . Worst of all I find that the ghettoization of places like Savile Town an affront to the people of the UK.

You are well off the mark here, perhaps you know little of any religions.
Islam is quite different from any other. If you would like me to explain why, I, and I believe many others, will be happy to oblige.

andy-hughes, //You may come to regret that statement. History on here shows that it will be pointed out to you on a daily basis from now until the earth spins into the sun!//
Your history might show that, but NJ’s won’t. You are the author of your own misfortune, but as an intelligent man I doubt very much that NJ is averse to increasing his knowledge. Let this be an end to these interminable snipes. These threads are not about me or anyone else who disagrees with you – and they’re not about you.

Back to the subject. There’s a strange anomaly going on here. Here we have people who are clearly quite happy to see areas of our country become overwhelmingly populated by the followers of Islam - and yet at the same time, regardless of the evidence, they insist it isn’t happening. Why is that? Curious. In their shoes, rather than argue that the reports are wrong, or that the right wing media is party to some sort of conspiracy theory, I would present what I perceive to be the benefits of what we are seeing and of what they are welcoming – and take it from there.
