"They" will soon be on Webbo, the apologists, making excuses for the unforgivable. You know the script,....we don't know yet, faulty lorry, the driver was ill, urgent delivery gone wrong, not allowed a stall at the fayre or made to feel unwelcome. Our fault for being us.

The German press and politicians don't seem to 'get it'. Though it is right to express sympathy to the family and friends of those murdered and wounded in this outrage, but signing books of condolences (as Merkel and others publicly did) and making statements like, "we must all come together to support one another", just isn't enough.
When a body such as Islamic extremism declares war on you, you must see it for what it is, and fight that war.
T, the Driver, a cousin of the owner was dead after been shot in the Passenger seat, can not understand why this truck was not Tracked, they usually are today.

*** 'These terrorists and their regional and worldwide networks must be eradicated from the face of the earth, a mission we will carry out with all freedom-loving partners.' ***

Donald Trump.
AOG; Yes I saw your earlier post. in fact, I copied it to someone an hour ago.
It's a good positive response, but it's only rhetoric of course. I wish to see a robust fight-back - something the Muslim world might understand.

My plan would be now, after this latest of many attacks, to straight away close down the largest mosque in Germany (I think it's in Cologne) for a period of 12 months, if there are any more attacks during that period I would have it demolished.
If attacks continue, I would continue with the program.
Well that's different to the ignore it and it will go away response, Khandro.
Khandro at 12.51. And how would you handle the inevitable civil unrest?
naomi; // And how would you handle the inevitable civil unrest? //

Isn't that what we have now? May I remind you that in the UK last week, a thousand Muslims demonstrating for Sharia law, closed down Belgrave Square.
Khandro

Now that is what I call a positive response, why should we continuously take the flack without coming back towards them.

Perhaps your suggestion would lift the so called "moderate Muslims" off their knees, and join us in our fight against the radicals?

One can dream.
Khandro at 14:05, to a degree - but I think your action might just exacerbate that considerably. Not that I disagree with you. I'm just wondering how you would deal with the inevitable result. Any ideas?
naomi; France has closed down quite a few mosques, four recently and talk of a hundred more, Finsbury Park mosque was once closed without great consequences. In Muslim countries, strong measures are taken against dissidents and understood.
Khandro, The mosques closed in France were, as I understand it, make-shift jobs; Finsbury Park was closed due to its suspected links to al Queda. Bearing in mind the recent influx of migrants into Germany, closure of the mosque in Cologne may well have a more adverse effect. I doubt very much what you call ‘dissidents’ would be quite as compliant as they are with the authorities in their homelands. That said, I’d support such a move. It's time to say 'No'.
naomi; The book preached from in every mosque in Europe and which is the foundation of all Islam is the koran, in which it says;
8:12 Allah will terrorize unbelievers; Muslims should behead them
“When thy Lord was revealing to the angels, ‘I am with you; so confirm the believers. I shall cast into the unbelievers’ hearts terror; so smite above the necks, and smite every finger of them!’”
Pleasant dreams and sleep tight!

Something a little gentler, Khandro, but not exactly friendly.

"O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people."

I slept very well.

I actually ‘do’ several of them – but not on an English speaking website. Since it’s Christmas I’ll forgive Khandro though, both for his German here and for his Latin message to me on another thread. ;o)
