They also continued to lie during the subsequent Inquests, until they stopped lying in the face of multiple evidences given.
Again, I trust you don't dispute that ?

Liverpool FC were very successful back then. It was just another season of success for them and they stayed in the pubs until about 14:50. For Nottingham Forest, success was much more sporadic, so their fans were cock-a-hoop that their team had reached the semi final of the cup. Those guys got to the ground in plenty of time
Once again, I am not trying to stifle debate in anyway whatsoever.
Yes, yes mikey ... we know you're not trying to stifle debate ... you generally just ignore even a direct question when you want to stifle debate.
TTT
but I'm only following mikey's suggestion.
My mother used to say ''would you jump in t'river if he asked you to?''
Worth a try mikey ...

We've covered this subject on here many times.....they need to let it go. Yes, it was a tragedy but nobody expected it to go the way it did. Police were understaffed that day, they couldn't cope with the extra burden and disaster followed.
The biggest factor was the ground set up, brought about as a result of years of increasing football hooliganism, thus fans were treated like cattle.
The Liverpool fans have had their victory(and rightly so), now, as The Beatles might say, let it be.
Unless of course the perpetrators of Heysel will be pursued with the same vigour....

Lynne....with the greatest of respect, perhaps you should read the transcripts of the second Inquests. Here it is :::

Here is an important paragraph from the above link :::
The Goldring coroner's inquest, lasting from 1 April 2014 to 26 April 2016, is the longest jury case in British history.
It returned a verdict that the supporters were unlawfully killed due to grossly negligent failures by police and ambulance services to fulfil their duty of care to the supporters.
The inquest also found that the design of the stadium contributed to the crush, and that supporters were not to blame for the dangerous conditions.
For the actions of his force during the second inquest, the SYP chief constable David Crompton was suspended. Two days after the verdict, a private prosecution was brought on behalf of hundreds of relatives against both SYP and the West Midlands Police force (who took statements from the SYP), alleging a concerted cover-up designed to shift blame away from the police
Now, you can choose to believe the outcome of the Inquests if you wish, its entirely up to you, but that is the legal situation as it stands today.

Make your mind up TTT !
Earlier you said " I accept they lied, I accept they covered it up, I accept they made errors"
That is why a second series of Inquests had to be held, because of the perjury by the Police in the first Inquests. The second Inquests put right the gross errors made in the first ones.....but you know that, don't you ?
The second Inquests are now the definitive version of the events.

^^I can scarcely believe that I read that. All inquests are to have at least one other. Would there have been a third, if the second hadn't reached the "correct" conclusion. You know like referendum or election results that are deemed to be unacceptable.
