I think it was libel and so the paper will have libel insurance

They also pay lawyers an awful lot to 'read' articles 'for libel' sort of to save money - and it was definitely within the course of her employment so the principle of vicarious liability applies ( empoyer who has the munnnay pays for employees naughtiness )

When I started on here, social media was in its infancy, and the notion of personal information being misused did not exist - everyone used their own names in those days.
