This won't effect us here in Wales of course, and I am now out for the rest of the day, so I will leave you all to debate whether closing Hospitals and services is the best way of coping with the worst crisis in our NHS that we have ever seen before.

When I was seriously ill in '09 I was admitted the the local Hospital where 10 days later they still hadn't worked out what was wrong with me, to the point of one Doctor telling me there was nothing wrong. Mrs B made enquiries, helped by the fact that she worked for the NHS, found the best treatment for what was thought to be the problem was 70 miles away in Tooting, next thing I'm in a Private Ambulance on my way to St Georges. Long story short, Operation 2 days later (AVR) and 8 weeks as an in-patient.
If Mrs B had not put me 'on m y bike' I would most likely not be here now. You just got to help yourself sometimes, not sit around moaning ;o)
