Gromit, it's not the whole of his electorate - he was talking about the Muslim contingency. Perhaps he thinks some of them should be more forthright. That's how it sounds to me.
Gromit
'Naomi,

What was his motive for abusing his own electorate?

Rhat doesn't make sense.'

You're quite right, gromit, but there's no H in rat.
I still feel he has a long way to beat Trump at the racism game. But let's be fair - POTUS has a 30 year head start. He was displaying his racist credentials when Khan was still a toddler.
Its about time that some people on here accepted that Khan was elected London Mayor, not because he was black or Muslim, but because he was the Labour candidate, and wasn't the Tory candidate.

So now we have a Labour Mayor, who also just happens to be both black and a Muslim....get used to it !
mikey, there's a good article on UKIP in the Guardian today. Have you missed it? ;)
Sorry for the interruption.
No Sam....I have been to a meeting all day in Bristol, and haven't long got home. I didn't get a paper today and I won't again on Tuesday, as I have another long day ahead, with a very early start !

Just catching up before bedtime.
Mikey, //So now we have a Labour Mayor, who also just happens to be both black and a Muslim....get used to it ! //

Careful! You're in danger of being reprimanded for saying an Asian is black.
Quick amendment to that^ before I'm told he's British: An Asian or someone of Asian descent....
Talbot - //andy, your view means absolutely zero to me. //

I am shocked and disappointed to read that.

//''In my view, you really need to stop leaping to conclusions based on absolutely no evidence whatsoever.''

If there was ''no evidence whatsoever'' I wouldn't have even been able to put forward my opinion would I?

Think about it for a while ... //

I have thought about it for a while ...

Would you like to point me in the right direction to find where that 'evidence' is - assuming it is somewhere else apart from in the conclusion-reaching part of your mind, which has form for being wrong quite often.
I can't be bothered to help you out, if you're not smart enough to work it ... don't worry about it.

You have made another of your sweeping statements, with no disenable evidence to back up what you say.

When I challenge you to back up your observation, you side-step it by being rude to me.

Situation normal - what's to worry about?
