i saw this on the news thread earlier, doesn't seem right at all.
surely these products are essential, and not too expensive.
perhaps they could be supplied on the NHS to poorer families.

I think it should be free. Not the fancy stuff...but the basics.

You can go and get free condoms so why not sanitary wear? And razors should be on the list as well...

I think its disgraceful, as Ummm says you can get free condoms - the basic sanitary protection should also be free. Having to pay VAT on it as well is horrific its not a luxury item is it!

Education needed here for the whole family as I would suggest the family needs to be aware these are a necessity.

So she would have been receiving (among many other gifts and monies) £75.50 in Child Benefit each and every week. More than enough to provide for her daughter’s essential requirements.

The girls are taught about menstruation at school. That's why I find it so sad that some of them don't seem to know what's going on.

Do you offer free STs when you teach girls tilly. I didnt tell my parents I was menstruating till my mother found my sodden flannel and asked me. I was toooooo shy to tell anyone from 11 to 14y
