for orangutans.
apparently there are over half a million vegans in UK, and many complained about the new 5 pound note over its tallow content, so the Bank of England is going to
make the 20 pound notes with Palm oil, which is a basic oil in the lands of the
orangutan, Sumatra and Borneo. So the more its harvested, more habit goes the more orangutans will die off. What are we doing to our planet.
extra-flatulent vegans - the Government should tax them extra for their carbon and ammonia emissions - my old company had a project to measure the volume coming off cows as to farting.....
Whichever oleochemical derivatives feedstock is chosen, the volume required for the
production of the new polymer banknotes is far too small to act as a driver of any additional
production.
"here are so many vegan eateries around here. " - What are they serving spud bashings and grass? How can you have a vegan restaurant they only eat about 3 things.
As NJ has often said surely the problem is the large human population. It's hard not to overuse resources if there are so many people putting demand on them. It's not as if non-vegan farming methods are any better for rainforests -- a lot of clearing of the Amazon is directly to do with creating land for beef farms, for example.
No idea what they serve, TTT ... coz I wouldn't go in one, needless to say.
It's getting silly around here. This month we had "Vegfest 2017" ... a festival which, bizarrely, included "vegan comedy" (!) ... so, jokes about vegetables???
For me, a "Vegfest" is a night in front of the telly in your slobby joggers, with a chicken curry and two bottles of wine.
JJ....I have never had the misfortune to have to eat in a vegan restaurant. My best advice would be to make sure you have a good feed before going, and then just have a cup of tea !
