Avg Error Message
2 Answers
On the bottom menu bar of my computer where my AVG icon is there is a white dot containing an exclamation mark, which when I point to it a message comes up stating "Error click for more information".
When I click on it the AVG window comes up with the following option sections:
Anti virus free, this is ticked.
PC Tune Up, this is unticked.
Secure VPN, this is unticked.
Web Tune-Up, this is unticked.
Also there is an option to add a device and Scan now.
Should I carry out all these, because it seems that the white dot on the AVG icon will not disappear until those offers are accepted perhaps.

AVG would love you to believe that you really need AVG TuneUp (at £34.99 per year). You don't.
They'd also like you to route your internet traffic through their VPN (for £38.99 every 6 months). You almost certainly don't need to.
At least their Web TuneUp browser extension is free but, again, I don't think that you need it.
Ignore the warning messages or switch to Avast (which,it seems, is the most popular free antivirus software among ABers):
