For raising the security threat to critical. AFTER the terror attack here in Manchester. Thank you for allowing this terrorist to carry out murder when your wonderful security forces already knew what he was planning. Thank you.

I would be interested to know specifically what more could be done to prevent this happening? As for the security threat level being raised to critical, if you follow these things you will be aware that the level has been SEVERE for a long time now, and raising it to CRITICAL after the attack simply means that the security forces have made the Government aware that they have evidence of a risk that further attacks could yet be carried out as a RESULT of the first attack. It suggests also that this time, the man was not working alone, and others unfortunately were aware this was going to happen and are intent on causing further carnage. Westminster may have been a lone wolf attack, but this has all the signs of it being a planned and co-ordinated attack.
As was once said during the 80's - We (the terrorist) only have to get lucky once, you have to be lucky every time.
Until we recognise the war that was declared on us there is little that can be done.
May should repeal the HRA (at least parts related to terrorism) to stop leaching briefs, round up all suspects and their families ( at least dont have them as airport security!) and intern them. Start to break up communities within communities. End 'no-go' areas by deploying troops. Flatten Mosques involved in terrorism and close faith schools. No Burka's or foreign flags to be flown. No returning jihadist's allowed back in.
That will do for a start, we can go from there.

Throwing your hands in the air and saying we cant win is not the way to go. It will be difficult and it is a very different war but we the British are inventive and can fight together. But that is what is must be; a fight. All the hashtags, candles and prayers whilst helping those in crisis at the time wont fix the problem.

Trying to hold Theresa May -- or any other politician -- personally responsible for this in any way is totally unjustified. There may be more effective ways to deal with, and reduce the risk of, such attacks. Not having tried them doesn't make her responsible. The only person responsible for this is the man who blew himself up.
