How dare she bring 'Johnnie no friends' Gove back to the Cabinet, after he was one of the baffoons that persuaded the numpties in the U.K. To take us out of Europe, then leave the sinking ship when things got too hot for him!.
'Keep your friends close and your enemies closer' Pure, unashamed party political expediency. Either that or the hidden, unelected Conservative Party grandees and bankers are now pulling her strings like puppet masters. The Tories want her out but even they are not stupid enough to go for a leadership election until they have a single candidate they can...
It's not the Labour Party and the unions who will ruin the country.
It will be the bankers.
We are still paying for the complete balls up they made a few years ago with their toxic loans.
We (our money) bailed out the banks to the tune of trillion pounds.
And that's not taking into account the difficulties faced in the financial sector with job losses through the sheer negligence of senior manager and risk assessors.
I think we should acknowledge that fiscal incompetence is not the sole preserve of Labour.
Did he leave ? I thought he simply shot himself in the foot when he tried to stab Boris in the back and grab the PMship. Having someone intelligent enough to know that we need a firm line Brexit is good enough to drag him back in.
OG,
// firm line Brexit // is dead in the water now, after May screwed up Royally.
The only Brexit we will get now is a soft Brexit - paying the same dues to be in a single market, and free movement of migrants.
I don't believe that. It would mean the issue remains live because we wouldn't really have left at all. Government policy will have to remain the same. There is no other rational option.
I'm not sure where rational comes into our politics these days - our betters spent a thousand years diligently training us to be honest, law abiding, but above all non revolutionary - then suddenly ship in millions of people who have never known anything else but insurrection. What's rational about that?
Gove did not leave of his own accord. When May became PM she dumped him, along with Osborne. Alarm bells should have started ring even then as to what sort of a PM she would turn out to be.
I don't agree with Gove on a lot of things esp Brexit, but he's a talent she could do with. Look on it not so much as inspired, as a grudging deployment from the bench of a star striker with whom the manager had previously fallen out. But the manager is no longer really in charge
The thing is now though, in the eyes of many Tories, what Gove may or may not have done in the past will pale into irrelevance compared with needlessly throwing away a working majority
Bet Gove is dancing around the MAYpole today, and he can not believe his luck, trouble is we have had a maypoll, and it looks like she will not be around much longer.
There may be a few more dead legs to follow Mikey, you know, the one's that screw the country with their expenses, Duck pods, Porn Mags, Plugs, Moat cleaning, you know the items we have around our homes.
