Well, well, well 135 posts, it would seem that the usual suspects enjoyed a very pleasant Sunday afternoon from my none story thread, even though I was not around to be the brunt of your childish insults and false accusations.

Reading through your infantile posts though, could make one wonder if some of you are still getting fed from the breast yourselves.

This thread of mine had nothing to do with the whys and therefores of breast feeding in public, but it had everything to do with the mother's pathetic comparison between the V&A's (or as it turned out, one of it's employees) views on breast feeding in pubic whilst they allow the display of statues of naked women and women breastfeeding.

// Aye Sqad , in my day when we were in t'fields we'd say 'Stop yer blubberin' you can have some more when t'sun's over Brampton's barn and not afore'. //

er didnt you say - stop you blubberin' and then clout it ?

( good old - if the child cries, beat it...)
Not in our neck of the woods Peter, all tha clouts is a nail wi a hammer.

135 posts???? seems I am a little behind, still it goes on.
AOG...you point is well taken.
My attitude is that after half a century of the Welfare State ( we will look after you from birth to the grave) there is always someone or a group, "whingeing" about something...............
// This thread of mine had nothing to do with the whys and therefores of breast feeding in public, //

it is solely about old men like AOG, PP and sqad staring at women's breasters in public and other activities mature men get up to ....

when I see s/o breast feeding in public
I do go ' "eek ! as an encore she aint gonna empty her bladder is she?" and then pull my hat over my ears - make sure my overcoat is fastened and hurry on

And so it would seem Sqad, but when one makes a remark against that fact, it is those who are accused of "whingeing" .
How can Twitter be blamed for some weirdo reporter stalking a woman down and running a story about her and her child without her consent?

It would be interesting to know the answer to that if anyone has one.
Sorry..I have no idea what Twitter does, how it works or indeed how our personality plus baby got into the press.
His wife maybe.
sqad, it was posted earlier how this got into the press and I have just repeated how this got into the press.

This women never went running to them .... they tracked her down.
Are you on the right thread TW?
Talbot....if what you say is true and i am sure that it is, the only sequence of events that i can come up with (pure fantasy) is that a third party in the V&A witnessed the "confrontation" filmed it and sent it viral (is that the term?) and was picked up by our reporter friend on Twitter, Facebook.....whatever.
I am well out of my comfort zone here......
I don't know where the law stands as far as a newspaper using a picture from Twitter and running a whole story based around that pic given that the people in the pic didn't give permission (who took the pic btw?)

I have seen videos posted on Twitter and the poster and owner of that video gets pestered by reporters from around the world asking for permission to use the video. The most recent one was a video of dipsticks smashing stuff up over the death of Rashan Charles.
He told them all to get on their bike.

Clarion

"decency, modesty and respect?"
In this present time, the 3 words mean different things to different people......and there lies the problem.

What from behold the grave? That is amazing. :0)
I agree with 10C at 10:48. I was at a local eatery a few months back and a woman slightly to the left of me in my eyeline plopped out her breast and started feeding her very young baby. I just happened to glance up as this happened and a big burly bloke sat next to her saw me and glared at me and
continued to glare at me throughout. I felt very intimidated and it ruined my meal. I had done and said nothing.
Well the bloke, big and burly or not shouldn't have glared just accepted someone had noticed and let it pass.

On a few occasions I fed both of mine in public - 1976 and 1979, never a problem.
