“It appears that EE and BT have jumped the gun – after rubbing their hands with glee following the Brexit vote,”
You will find that few, if any, large companies “rubbed their hands with glee” following the referendum result. They virtually all campaigned for continued membership. The few bob the telecom providers made from roaming fees is neither here nor there.
Of course the £10bn a year that taxpayers stump up for EU membership is well worth it if it allows visitors to Europe to make a few phone calls without surcharge.
It’s very strange, Hymie, that you trust a bunch of unelected foreign civil servants to protect your rights but have no faith in your elected MPs and government. You obviously believe that Auntie EU is the only one who will protect you from the world’s harsh realities. Makes me wonder what we ever did without her.
