Thanks both.
I always thought men went out huntin' and a gatherin' and women had babies.
Jim, you can stand up for whatever you like, but don’t demand that others refer to men as ‘she’ or ‘her’ simply because you think they should. They are not ‘she’ or ‘her’. They are men.
Really pees me off when I come late to a thread and see all the 'answers removed'. Is it really all that necessary ??
We don't normally discuss why posts are removed, but I'd like to point out that we remove posts that are disrespectful to a group of people, such as transgender people, for the same reasons that we remove posts that are racist, homophobic, or that are rude towards individual AB members. We understand that people have different opinions on gender identity, but we want to keep the discussion respectful as well, as we do across the whole of AB.
AB editor; How do you decide what is 'racist'? It appears today that almost everything is considered racist to one group or another.
Well said Ed !
I imagine that Ed and her team use their own judgement on what is disrespectful in the same way each of us does - hence we will never agree with all decisions but have to abide by them.
According to Dianne Abott, anyone who voted for Brexit is a racist, so there's quite a few of us on here :0)
I can't say I subscribe to her thinking,:-)
