Looks like its £17bn and Boris stays; 'Theresa May is set to make a Brexit bill offer of £17bn (€20bn) in her speech in Florence on Friday, according to the Financial Times. The newspaper reports that the Prime Minister’s EU adviser, Olly Robbins, told counterparts that May will detail plans for Britain to continue to pay money to the EU until at least 2020, in a bid to break the deadlock in Brexit talks. Downing Street said the report was ‘pure speculation’.

Boris's sole reason for existence is to grab the Tory leadership, it is behind every move he makes.
Remember he phoned Cameron just 8 hours before the official referendum campaine was due to start and said he would change sides and support Remain as long as he was guaranteed the Tory leadership as a reward.
Cameron refused and the rest is history.

The obvious choice as Foreign Secretary, especially as we have no pressing crises with our near neoghbours abroad just now.
