Should this teacher really be in jail? Is she a danger to society? If she had been high on drugs and stabbed her teenage lover, she would have walked free.

I think Just-Jade is comparing this case with the one of the Oxford student who did not get a jail term after stabbing her date whilst high on drugs a couple of weeks ago.

Once again, such cases highlight the differences between chaps and chapesses.....
She deserves to have the book thrown at her and be subject to exactly the same punishment as men who have found themselves in this position.
But, for some reason, it all gets treated as a bit of a 'larf' in some quarters with many men 'envying' the teenaged boy in question....

At 15 I dreamed of situations like this...as most boys of that age would. However now he has been introduced to the experience at such a young age with an adult woman, it will make relationships with girls of his age difficult. He will want more of the same thing so I am not sure if envy or lucky are the right words.

Just-Jude - // The girl he loves has been taken away from him, he probably feels suicidal, but both of them must be punished as they're not from wealthy and privileged backgrounds. //
The woman (she is not a girl) has been 'taken away from him' because she has broken the law, and that is the appropriate punishment for the crime of which she has been convicted.
The boy has not been 'punished' - the loss of his relationship is the effect of embarking on an illegal relationship with a woman breaking the law.
Their economic status is of no consequence whatsoever in the case.
