In these days of hysteria, and PC over reaction to the slightest transgression from the "correct" view on any given subject, not to mention the gazillion critics of anything that could remotely be considered "ist" in any sense how could anyone think this is is ok? How could it make it to "air"?

It could have been fixed relatively easily.

get with it ZM, I am not criticising the ad at allneither is SP as far as I can tell. I'm criticising the fact that it appears to be an issue. The whole row is because the black girl turned white is it not? SP said it could have been fixed by making the white girl turn black did he not? So I simply asked why the latter is ok but the former is not.

Going by the article in the link, they've got form for this kind of 'clumsiness' and have faced criticism for it in the past.
All of which makes it even more unbelievable that they'd be stupid enough to do it again.

I'm not criticising sp, I am criticising the notion that black turning to white is bad but white turning to black is good. Sp is probably correct I was just wondering why the latter is ok in society but the former gets into the news.

The thing with an ad or promotion is that you have to make your point quickly and clearly, people flick from page to page very fast - the information should be clear without then telling the person watching that they should have stayed to the end.
