but it's a fair question though, isn't it? gary glitter and jimmy saville have both been expunged from their respective entertainment spheres....
You'll be asking if we can listen to Rolf H, or watch Jimmy S next.

-SharonA- "Why??? Do you think so??"

All those serious allegations, should we just ignore them?
so punish the actors and all the staff who worked on those films/projects?

that makes sense...
I agree with Mushroom, it's a perfectly legitimate question.

mccfluff. They've already been paid, so no loss to them.
it is if you have pride in your work and want it to be shown. I don't see why the films or tv shows have anything to do with his behaviour - he won't be benefitting financially from them anymore
Question Author
Emma Thompson is shocked and horrified, she doesn't sound proud of her work.
and does she say "lets ban all his films and tv work" or is she shocked and horrified by his behaviour.?
Question Author
mccfluff. She hasn't said, but I don't think I'd like my name associated with him.
Mushroom there is an age difference in the victims

If Weinstein comes to the UK again, should the Met have a word with him?
I think we should be able to separate the art from the artist.

We still accept the performance of Wagner's operas, even though he was a raving anti-Semite throughout his life.

Similarly, I still listen to Gary Glitter's music because I enjoy it, and it solves nothing to censor myself in that way. That said, I am always sorry not to be able to play his hits when I DJ at parties, but that is for the sensibilities of others.

I don't think banning his films solves anything - we need to address the culture that has allowed him to behave as he has - censorship of his films does not do that.
maybe just the ones with young women in, as we'll know they've been made under duress.

That leaves Master and Commander and Reservoir Dogs, I think.
It's a strange thing is the attitude to sex pests, rapists and paedophiles.

Some like Mushroom has said are expunged ... Glitter, Savile

Some are still revered ... Jackson, Polanski

Weird innit?
