Yes ive been following it in the news. Horrific :(
It's appalling isn't it, Tilly? I so hope this disgusting man will now be brought to justice. What that poor little scrap went through is beyond imagining...
I can't read any more articles about this poor child .
Poor love.
Worth reminding ourselves why this inquest is taking place 5 years after her death...

// A catalogue of police failures over the death of a 13-month-old girl has been laid bare by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
Poppi Worthington died in 2012 with a family court judge finding she had been sexually assaulted by her father Paul, who denies any wrongdoing.
Cumbria Police allowed evidence to be thrown away, failed to properly investigate abuse claims and sent incorrect information to the coroner.
The force said it had "let Poppi down". //
That's just about everybody then who let this poor little girl down. Even after she was dead. I hope she had some happiness in her short life.
I need to think bout something else.

I really don't know why I posted this. I don't actually want to think about it. I was just so shocked to read it.

Can I get this thread removed?
there is quite a lot that we havent been told
( irrelevant to an inquest )

The pathologist doesnt know why Poppi died - and shrugs her shoulders and says - "well God knows quite honestly" - even tho she is on the look out for abuse.
Erm - is she the only one at the childrens hospital ? what about ringing up someone who knows what he is doing ..... or did four or five people gather round have a conflab ... and say " there really is nothing to show why this child died"

in which case you are gonna have real problems showing Paul W is the man wot did it.

secondly this is midstream of the Good Old Days when if a baby doctor said something the parent didnt like - you reported him to the GMC who struck him off!
Quite naturally - baby doctors stopped doing child abuse work

http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/paediatrician-struck-off-in-2007-is-restored-to-register-1962539.html

and a whole shed of child abuse cases collapsed because they couldnt get anyone to testify
i too have been following this horrific story, poor wee thing..
Tilly, you can report it yourself but as people have replied just don't return and make sure you aren't subscribed.

I understand your sentiments though.
Dr Braima noticed the [dead] Poppi has a nose bleed and records it.
but oops Dr Southall was struck off for saying exactly that ( nose bleed = a sign of child abuse) a year or two previously
see ref above
and unsurprisingly Dr Braima doesnt trumpet it

There is quite a lot we havent been told ....
This thead has unleashed a discussion of public importance innit ?

Delete it and we are left with standard AB fare of
3T: foo dat Brexit dat - dat Theresa May her dat DUP dup yeah!

which we have had a hundred times before ( this week )
http://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWHC/Fam/2004/411.html

depressing case about 'lets not believe the doctors!"

"There are up to 5000 wrongly imprisoned parents for something we know they didnt do." says Margaret Hodge

and so Poppi is the logical and predictable outcome of this
It's utterly heartbreaking. Will she ever get justice ???
Well that just made me cry, husband asked why and I couldn't speak to answer him. Poor, poor little girl. She had two leg fractures and her parents "didn't believe they were causing her pain"
