The fight back against Trump is now well under way. If the Democrats can win in a place like Alabama, they can win anywhere.

not too sure about 'the fight-back being well under way' but I was glad to hear the result.

Mikey, //Trump could have just stayed silent, but instead, backed Moore to the hilt, despite all the evidence that he was an unsuitable candidate. //
Haha! Isn't that what you do with Mr Corbyn .... despite all the evidence that he is an unsuitable candidate? ;o)
Joking aside, you're clutching at straws with this one.

I wonder what would have happened without all the, so far, unproved historical allegations from the 70's and 80's?
That stinks to me.
Having said that there is no way I could vote for this man based on his views.

Hmmm, perhaps have a cup of tea and calm down. Daily salivating over Trump wont do the old ticker too much good you know!

I welcome a Democrat victory that now means the Republican majority in the Senate is just 51-49.
But the candidate has refused to concede defeat even though with over 99% of votes counted he is more than 1.7 % down. That is exactly how Trump would behave in the same situation.
Roy Moore however , is a very flawed candidate , believing that homosexuality should be a criminal offence and haveing several allegations of sexual harassment against teenage girls against him.
He has also been expelled from the Alabama Supreme Court twice.
All in all he is a parody of Trump.
The main implication of his unexpected victory is that it massively increases the chances of the Democrats gaining control of the Senate in the 2018 mid term elections. Remember the Democrats also defeated a long standing Republican in Virginia last month.

Roy Moore is also 'Trump like' in his attitude to Muslims. He says should be banned from serving in any official office.
More of his views include that the 9/11 attack was a sign of God's anger and was predicted in the bible.
That Darwin was wrong and that there is no such thing as evolution.
That the only law comes from God
That Putin'' is more akin to me than I know''
^ Remind you of anyone?

ichi; Like I said earlier, Alabama was Democrat for 136 years and that was how (and the only way) Wallace could have got elected, but demographic, drastic boundary changes in 1986, led to the election of the first Republican governor by majority-white voters, so Wallace, who you could hardly call a Democrat anyway, was out of office.
