The fight back against Trump is now well under way. If the Democrats can win in a place like Alabama, they can win anywhere.

not too sure about 'the fight-back being well under way' but I was glad to hear the result.

You refused the other day, to condemn Trump for these remarks ::::

" I moved on her like a ***"
Those comments are completely unacceptable, and yet your excuse is that they made them a long time ago, and anyway, Trump is a completely changed man now.

Mikey, Oh goody! Another opportunity for you to repeat those smutty words - and taken with relish as always - something I regard as somewhat suspicious incidentally. I didn't refuse to condemn his remarks - I said I think he's a flash git - and having met many a flash git I do recognise a flash git when I see one. I did, and do, however, refuse to jump on that bandwagon of spite that you ride permanently that criticises everything about him - whether justified or not. Just look at your ridiculous claim in your question here. More manufactured nonsense. Is it any wonder that the more astute among us don't take you seriously?
Trump is not really my idea of a ‘flash git’ which to me in any case is a term of endearment.
You can spin it all you like, try to change the subject to Labour (a sure sign of desperation) but the fact is this is a major set back for the red party (!) in a state which had been red for the past quarter of a century.
It doesn’t mean Trump is doomed but I do wonder if we’ll see a repeat of 1912 in 2020 - as stated before - ie a rival republican standing against the incumbent.

Bullcarp, mikey bangs on and on and on and on and on an.... about not condemning Trump but you know as well as everyone else mikey is as guilty as any ABer when it comes to refusing to condemn.
I'm just pointing that out ... hypocrisy
!
!
ichkeria, a ‘flash git’ is a term of endearment? What planet are you on?
anneasquith, //Major diversions from the op, I wonder why ?//
Probably because Mikey's OP contains a deliberately misleading claim and he subsequently thought it wise to distance himself from that by diverting the thread. Perhaps he’ll apologise for your disappointment.

It doesn't exactly cut it as the definition of what Trump appears to be, from the impressions of those have read about him, and the testominies of those who have been in his company. "Vain, overbearing, sexist creep" would be my attempt to sum him up. "Flash git" suggests to me a certain grudging admiration for someone who is heavy on the bling or the posh cars or whatever, and something of a showman. I know which I'd rather be called, even though neither would be particularly appropriate :-)

ichkeria, I’ve glanced through this thread just to see who really changed the subject. Perhaps you should do the same. I’ve give you a hint. Take a look at 12:51 and work from there. You’re right – Mikey doesn’t have a strong argument because he began with a spurious claim.
Still not with you on ‘flash git’ being a term of endearment. It seems to me you protest too much …..but each to his own.
