Hoppy......Blair, Brown and Cameron have never been Deputy PMs.
The subject of this thread is the knighthood of Nick Clegg. Can we please stop discussing Farage.
No, but Heath, Thatcher and Major were all knighted.
Nigel Farage is mentioned in the question, which is "Why Clegg but not him"
I know! I know! hoppy...BUT....I think that a knighthood goes with the post of Deputy PM, but not with PM...........I think.
What on earth has Nick Clegg done to merit a knighthood?

That ^ ich.
was that really answered to the best of your ability?
I didn't answer it to the best of my ability but to the best of Nick Clegg's ability :-)
What is the correct answer then lol
Just a gentle reminder that Sir Nick didn't get his award from me ;-)
I don't have to justify it. Just speculate as to the reasons.
Which is all anyone can do.
VB?
What insult is that then?
Icheria, I don't know, that is why I asked to question.

Whether you approve of Brexit or not, you must agree that Nigel Farage's achievement in bringing about vote on it to the British people, and for them to, by a majority, say that is what they want, something which will alter the course of future British history.

Clegg on the other hand, gained popularity by deceit - lying about tuition fees, and since the referendum has petulantly tried every possible method his tiny Dutch brain can think of, to revert the will of the British electorate.

So can someone answer the OP please; For What?
Sorry Sqad, but I don't think Michael Heseltine was knighted, though he later became a Lord.
Does the fact that someone is appointed to a position in the government mean that he/she merits a knighthood no matter how well, or not,he/she caries out that job?
It stands for Vichy British, Islay. One of Tora’s childish explanation for anyone who says anything against Brexit or, latterly, Britain in general, which he can’t get his head around.
If you are serious about wanting to know the answer it's pointless inquiring here. It'll probably say for services to government and politcs or something. Otherwise all that's going to happen is a big row where half the people say Nigel should be made pope and Nick burned at the stake, or vice versa
F arage, a knighthood ? Lol
I have given all the cast of LOTSW Sirs and Dame hoods
Thatcher was knighted?
Clegg did not lie about tuition fees.
Gromit has said it all at 08:56.....Farage will never get a Knighthood for all the reasons he posted, despite what the Farage Glee Club thinks on here.
