Scooping....Corbyn is a working MP, and has been since 1983. He is also the Leader of Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition.

Farage, despite numerous attempts, has not held any of those posts, and has only represented South East England in the European Parliament since 1999.

Attlee was not knighted; he became an earl. Peerages are given to senior cabinet members on retirement but some refuse them and so are offered knighthoods, like Heath, Major and, indeed, Churchill.
