Looking at the headlines on todays newspapers, it would be easy to surmise that the Prime Minister doesn’t have much of a future

George Osborne in the wings is constantly trying to undermine her. He has given the Evening Standard a single-issue agenda and is behaving like a petulant schoolgirl stirring up much negativity because she unceremoniously sacked him.
Hammond is supposed to be a friend, but I think he's a bit of a snake in the grass.
She trusted Nick Timothy but he led her into a disastrous election.

The government reminds me of a slowly sinking ship spilt down the middle : with May having a foot on each side as it goes down. Changing the captain now will possibly cause a capsizing but in any case won’t stop the sinking.
I agree about Nick Timothy: he and Fiona Hill were an appalling influence although May must also be to blame for allowing them free rein like that. And Timothy is still at it from the sidelines.
Weak pm who got the job as there was no one better who wanted it: there is probably still no one better. If she was going to be toppled it would have happened by now

YMB...lets just see if I understand you correctly.
In the Election a few months ago, Corbyn increased the Labour vote and increased Labours MPs by 30.
In that same Election, May lost 13 MP's.
OK...Labour didn't win.
But now you are suggesting that May's current woeful performance is all down to Labour not being strong enough.
So its got nothing to do with the Tory Party voting in someone who is "utterly useless" ?
The rest of the Tory Party are running rings around her, but that isn't their fault....its all down to Corbyn ?
Mikey sits back almost stunned into silence !

This has to be her nadir. Never before have I heard of a Prime Minister of any party telling a minister that they were to be moved/reshuffled only for the minister to refuse the move and then demand their current role is enhanced. That alone has to be the key to her demise.
How long before May goes? I say May will be out by June.
(pun intended) .

Ymb,
// fault for May must lie[s with] at the the Labour Party. If they were stronger she would too have to up her game //
I admire your agility in spinning it to be the Labour Paties fault, but it doesn’t really work like that. Michael Foot didn’t force Mrs Thatcher to be useless, quite the opposite.

Perhpas if foot & Co were stronger then The Good Lady coiuld not 'have got away with so much' as you on the left like to say.
If you have a strong opposition then a weak Government can be pushed. I see nothing from Labour at the moment.
Mickey, it has nothing to do with number of seats and we all know know that labour lied to get the student vote. That must be a serious concern for them for future elections as it is a one shot only thing you can do.
I stand by what I said, part of the blame must lie with Labour also being weak. They should stand up and shoot her down, they should be miles ahead in the polls and they are not.

Prudie....far be it for me to attempt to protect the Tory Party, but for the sake of its immediate future, some body should lock Jacob Rees-Mogg is the cellar for the next few weeks, along with the Port.
