I can't repeat his comments here on AB, but they are all there for people to read. Not made in private but in the Oval Office, in front of other people.

Is this really the kind of language that we would expect the POTUS to be using ?

It is quite possible to be a billionaire and a moron, DD. Especially when the core of one's wealth is inherited. As I've said before, Trump is a member of de facto nobility rather than a self-made entrepreneur. - No, this kind of uneducated language is not the kind we should expect from the President. But it is exactly the kind of language we can now expect from the...

Did he get an answer to his question "Why are we having all these people from *** countries come here?"

Because immigration is what made America the country it is ?
Maybe it's just getting more of the same ?
Douglas,
I would guess the arzelickers in the room were too cowardly to tell him the answer - “Because big business men like Trump employ them”.
More fake outrage from the Usual Suspect(s).

"Why are we having all these people from sh*thole countries come here?" Mr Trump asked lawmakers on Thursday.

The remark, was apparently in reference to people from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries.

The White House made no attempt to deny the comment.

What on earth is offensive about that? He is asking a straight (albeit blunt and succinctly put) question. But, surprise surprise, the media focus on Trump rather than on his actual question. All this Trump-bashing is getting very boring now.
What is offensive about it?
Can’t think.
In Trump’s case: ‘doesn’t think’
^ I agree. Nixon could also use choice language.
Sadly in answer to mikey’s last question the answer is ‘yes’
I wonder what the US embassies in those countries think?
Mikey, //I can't repeat his comments here on AB,//

Why not? It’s a good question. Pity we don’t have a politician with the guts to ask the same.
Potus asked why but we voted brexit to keep migrants out. Racists USA 1 - UK 17.5mln
i expect that there are more politicians out there in US and in Britain who think the same, but haven't the guts to say so. Perhaps they might be a little more circumspect but the answer is many people do feel the same.
tambo
those who voted to leave didn't do so simply because of immigration, when will remainers get that through their heads.
Nixon's tapes were full of deleted expletives.
Emmie the port cullis on immigration has been drawn up by demand of voters, other brexit points still null
It won't be any worse than any other president has said. Whatever Trump says just gets special attention.

Not that he cares. I'm surprised he hasn't tweeted the same comment before now, expletive and all.
tamborine, //Racists USA 1 - UK 17.5mln //

Tripe.
Islay
/// But we are not discussing JFK are we Minty? ///

Neither are we discussing Native Americans or gambling.
mikey; Have you never read the content of the Nixon oval office tapes, with their "expletive deleted"s in every sentence?
There's no law against swearing you know?
It was said in the Oval Office, much worse can be heard in any Board Rooms.

As been suggested before, it is a pity that our politicians don't put the UK first.
