I notice that the serial Mail bashers are out again, despite this being "reported" all over Europe. Quite right as well. There are elections due in Italy, perhaps some would rather bury such "News". https://www.msn.com/en-za/news/other/italian-politican-attilio-fontana-white-race-comment-causes-furor/ar-AAuMNpf...

Naomi - // andy-hughes, //I think it is fair to take him at his word //

You do? Then rather than falsely pepper what you're reading with words like 'superior', do that. //

A fair point - I did conclude that his approach is that the white race is 'superior'.

But by that measure, you concluded that he was talking about 'culture' - so maybe we both need to stick to what is said, and debate that - is that fair enough?
andy-hughes, //by that measure, you concluded that he was talking about 'culture'//

No I didn’t. I said I don't think it's racist, homophobic - or xenophobic to wish to preserve ones culture and heritage and I also said race is about a lot of things, including culture. You put words into his mouth, not me. Anyway enough of this nonsense. I’m going out now. Bye.

Indeed it is - but that simply giving an implied more reasoned argument to an unreconstructed fascist, when in fact that is not at all the point he is making, or what he is saying.

// You put words into his mouth, not me. //

No - I interpreted what I thought he meant, as did you - either we are both correct or we are both incorrect, it's unreasonable to allow yourself to do that, and no-one else.

// Anyway enough of this nonsense. I’m going out now. Bye. //

It's shame that you disregard reasonable debate as 'nonsense' - but I notice that it is what you do when you feel you are losing the argument.
andy-hughes, what on earth are you talking about? I don’t regard a discussion that has become silly, as this one has, as ‘reasonable debate’, and going out isn’t unusual … at least not for me. Unless someone else pops in with something fresh to say, I don't believe I have anything more to add.

I am talking about your disrespect to others on this thread by referring to their input as 'silly' simply because they have comprehensively dismantled your point - but if you want your last word to be that, then fine.
Oh good grief! He's off again! Those are my last words.
I'll have a dust round then - new production starting tomorrow.
.......I doubt it! ;-)
