We should inform the French that if any find their way to these shores, that they will be sent back to France immediately.
And the French should round up all those on the channel coast and ship them all the way back to their Eastern borders, so that they can then restart their lengthy trek all the way back to Calais.
After one or two times they should soon get the message.

aog, there are people here who have certainly given me the impression that they welcome all and sundry from the Calais camp. However, I think you made the mistake of referring to ‘gangs’ and that is what appears to have been leapt upon by the awkwardly pedantic.

/// Do you still think that immigrants are given preferential treatment in the housing market? ///
I certainly do, it couldn't get any more preferential than this.
£2M HOME FOR SOMALI ASYLUM SEEKER
While most migrants would expect a modest home, some councils have spent huge amounts of public money on housing families who arrive on their doorstep.
Somali asylum seeker Saeed Khaliif was given a £2million home in one of the country’s most exclusive neighbourhoods in 2011.
The 49-year-old was granted housing benefits of almost £8,000 a month to live in the six-bedroom property with his wife Sayida and their children.
The couple demanded to be moved to West Hampstead, North-West London, after deciding their home in the Midlands was inadequate.
Their new house boasted a 90ft garden and was refurbished before their arrival.
It is understood Mr Khaliif has up to eight children and lives on benefits. He has not worked since arriving here three years ago.
Although housing benefit has been capped at £400 a week, the Khaliifs were able to claim more because they moved before the change came into force.
According to sources, the house was being advertised to rent at £7,800 per month.

Some admirable replies from you naomi, I think that there are some on here who are taking the same stance as they do regarding Muslims. And believe that there are some amongst these 'Mobs' or 'Gangs' that are massing around the town of Calais who when they are finely successful in gaining entrance to this 'oh so tolerant' England, will magically turn into self financing law-abiding peace loving loyal beyond belief citizens.
Was that an elephant that I just saw fly past?

As opposed to people who won’t hear a word for them because they’re eqyually as ignorant?
I like this fellow ... but his fellow Muslims appear to hate him with a passion.

/// For 'any on here ...' to 'still say ... ' infers that there are at least two people who have said that these gangs should be welcome. ///
Your mind works in a queer way, "Is there any on here" can be addressing any number who are actually reading my question. There may be none, or any number.
But what does seem clear is the fact that there are some on here who secretly seem to have no objections to them coming here, so much so that they would rather question other factors so as to take the attention away from what they are being asked. //
OK then, having read your question, i can confidently say that no-one will say that.
Is that better?

//No. The people who criticize Islam have spent some time educating themselves about it.
The people that defend it do so because their newsagent, barber, etc, is a Muslim and he's a nice man. Ie, they know nothing.//
There are also those who criticise Islam who simply read Briebart and the Daily Mail and don't have the capacity for original thought.
And likewise, there are those who have grown up with, gone to school with and worked with Muslims, and can see that they are a spectrum of people. Some awful, some boring, some kind, some lazy, clever and some that you would you would avoid like the plague.
I honestly think that it's better to start separating Islam from Muslim, otherwise we can get into that mindset that they are one homogenous group.
