We should inform the French that if any find their way to these shores, that they will be sent back to France immediately.

And the French should round up all those on the channel coast and ship them all the way back to their Eastern borders, so that they can then restart their lengthy trek all the way back to Calais.

After one or two times they should soon get the message.

aog, there are people here who have certainly given me the impression that they welcome all and sundry from the Calais camp. However, I think you made the mistake of referring to ‘gangs’ and that is what appears to have been leapt upon by the awkwardly pedantic.

I am not sure I can remember anyone ever saying here that we should welcome mobs like this, so the question in the title is flawed I think.
I've never thought we should welcome any of them into the UK - whether they're members of mobs or not. Must be awful for the residents of Calais.
>We should inform the French that if any find their way to these shores, that they will be sent back to France immediately.
Agreed

I don't think that's anything to do with us, but maybe you could write to the French president. But of course the suggestion won't be taken up a sit's impractical and not in keeping with Schengen I think
Once we leave the EU the border between the EU / France and the UK will revert to Dover. Do you need me to explain what that will mean?
No thanks Eddie.
it would not be a problem if the EU obeyed it's own laws. They'd be in Italy most likely.
Eddie.

no it wont, the agreement called Le Torquet is a private one between France and the UK and NOTHING to do with the EU.

/// Into this mad melee have jumped militant No Borders activists from Britain who tell the migrants that their human rights mean they deserve a new life in Britain — 'no questions asked'. ///

Far-Right groups are being banned I think that some Far-Left groups such as this one need banning also.
>>>Into this mad melee have jumped militant No Borders activists

I saw a group of people promoting this in the city centre of Birmingham the other day.

I wanted to go up and ask them if they left their front door open every time they went out, so anyone who fancied living in their house could just walk in.

Sad misguided idiots.
The French should be rounding them up and sending them back. It is the EU's problem they let them in with porous borders so they must deal with it.

Of course we could take a hard stance and not give them houses, prioritization over the citizens of the UK and bucket loads of benefits. If they knew they would get nothing maybe they would not be so keen to come here.

Oh if only YMB, but Britain has got to get back it's backbone first.
For 'any on here ...' to 'still say ... ' infers that there are at least two people who have said that these gangs should be welcome.

That's two more than I have ever seen posting on any thread on this subject, ever.
I really thought you’d cured yourself of this sensationalist headlining recently AOG. Your posts were much better for it.

Would you clarify others requests to pinpoint when and where anyone has ever said they welcome these people? I think you may be getting confused with people who criticised you on such threads. It’s your usual non sequitur style.
webbo, Yes but France's president Macron has said he can not see how the border can remain in Calais once the UK is no longer a part of the EU.
Does it really matter whether the border is in Dover or Calais? So they cross the channel and we don't let them in, so back they go.
Eddie, we recently pledged a few million more for security measures. Macron has softened his stance.

Your mind works in a queer way, "Is there any on here" can be addressing any number who are actually reading my question. There may be none, or any number.

But what does seem clear is the fact that there are some on here who secretly seem to have no objections to them coming here, so much so that they would rather question other factors so as to take the attention away from what they are being asked.

If I have got it wrong, why not come out in the open and state clearly "no we don't want them here"?

not at any price.
AOG

Do you still think that immigrants are given preferential treatment in the housing market?

How come?

Also, why would you ask if any on here is happy with mobs of violent rioters coming to the UK? The way you've framed the question is wrong because it's a trap. That's not me being pedantic. It's down you setting a trap.
