I still can't get my head around how something like this could happen, especially in this day and age that we live in.
I'm sure it will all unfold eventually and we'll be kept up to date with the news, etc .... but in the meantime, the mind just boggles as to how this could have happened :(

Simple really, Corners were cut, cheaper materials used, lazy workmen, workmen pushed to hard to keep to a schedule.

If you study man made Structural integrity and failure reasons those quoted are the most common reason with earthquakes given to a non man made reason for structural failure unless you know better zacs?
