Remember You Read It Here First (Possibly)
Now even the Germans are daring to state the obvious;
"Islam does not belong to Germany. Germany is shaped by Christianity. This tradition includes work-free Sundays and church holidays and rituals such as Easter, Pentecost and Christmas.... My message is that Muslims have to live with us, not next to or against us." — Horst Seehofer, Germany's new interior minister
"Many Muslims belong to Germany, but Islam does not belong to Germany. Islam is at base a political ideology that is not compatible with the German Constitution." — Beatrix von Storch, Alternative for Germany (AfD)
Is it not time for the British government to make similar assertions?

//Maybe more of us should stand up and condemn the government so others can see we don’t agree with what our governments do in OUR names. //
would the fact that in general the uk public have not campaigned against the government's foreign policy, mean that atrocities such as the Manchester arena bombing of last year are in fact our own stupid fault?

“Why all this Islamic support? ”
In my case it’s a “fellow man” support as all the Muslims I know are not blood curdling screaming enraged suicide bombing terrorists.
“When the time comes you will all be classed as infidels and treated as such.”
I think nuclear war, earth ending asteroids and a biological chemical plague are higher up on my “mass hysteria” list.

Gromit; //Frontpage magazine is published by.....//
You really are tiresome with this, how many times do you need telling that Frontpage like most other magazines, simply publishes articles written by reporters and journalists, in the link I gave above of the Telford grooming gangs, the article is taken from the Shropshire Star, so do you have a problem with the Shropshire Star for reporting this horrific case?

The trouble is that, blood curdling screaming enraged suicide bombing terrorists ... are just looked upon as being normal peace-loving Muslims until they become blood curdling screaming enraged suicide bombing terrorists.

AOG - // Didn't take long to divert this thread towards attacking Christian faiths.
Why all this Islamic support? //
Criticising Christian faiths does not equate to Islamic support. I cricitised the Catholic church because it behaves in an identical manner to the one advised in NewJudge's post, which makes the government hypocrites of the highest order.
// When the time comes you will all be classed as infidels and treated as such. //
People keep muttering about this nonsense of when Muslims 'take over the world ...'.
There's enough of them, and the Taliban and Isis have been around long enough, I wonder what's stopping them?
Could it be that the vast amount of scaremongering revolves around a tiny percentage of psychopaths who are not actually Muslims in the true sense of that faith?
The evidence - an utter absence of even a hint of a mass take-over by the Muslim faith rather bears that theory out I believe.

And your proposal is......?
Many times the terrorists is on the radar to secret services and the government.
Have you wrote to your mp? Organised a petition or protested asking them why was nothing done sooner?
Quite easy to be an armchair hero.
My definition of a “Real hero” is someone who stands up and fights for what they believe in.

“The Catholic Church had better pack its bags then!!”
I’m not so sure that the Catholic faith subjugates women to quite the degree that Islam does, Andy. But to a degree you are right. Personally I would proscribe all organised religions. People would be free to follow their peculiar proclivities in the comfort of their own living room but that would be about it. I would like to see no public manifestations of any religion. It would be far better in the long run. Having said that most religions don’t cause me too much discomfort but Islam certainly does.
My view has nothing to do with terrorist atrocities carried out in the name of Islam. I accept that those acts are carried out by a very few very extreme followers and are not typical of Muslims in general. It is the entire philosophy of Islam - to which all its followers subscribe - with which I take issue. Its principles are not those I would like to see promoted in the UK. If any individual holds views which accord with those principles they are rightly castigated. I don't see why many millions who espouse them in the name of a religion should be treated any differently.
"But that's [the subjugation of women and demonisation of homosexuality] what several people on AB do and it seems ok for them to do it!"
I don’t know of any regular AB-ers who hold such views, Islay. Perhaps you could point me to some. And even if you can there is a considerable difference between a few individuals holding abhorrent views and the acceptance that an entire religion, with many millions of followers in the UK alone, can hold such views without challenge.
