These people have been found guilty of using the service whilst being in the receipt of dark skin.

Only kidding...I’m sure that the people who reported these black people would’ve done the same if they were white - but how many times has anyone reported a suspected burglary to the police and benefited from a helicopter being scrambled!

Awesome.

What’s the best way for black people to show they are not thieves whilst using Airbnb?

//Not so, it is because if the police were to take more action in the killing areas, it would upset the communities.//

- your point does not make my point invalid

I suspect that because of the areas where these crimes are occurring; have a high concentration of black/ asians etc people , then the police do not see it as a priority to do as much about it as they would if the crimes were being perpetrated in the posher parts of the capital , like Kensingtom W8

It has nothing ( in my opinion ) to do with upsetting communities .
The vast majority of black communities i would say are appalled by these incidents , and want something done to put a stop to it

The problem is - you have an underclass Of ‘educationally subnormal’ people who view all black people as criminals.

It doesn’t matter if the black person is wearing a Dolce & Gabanna suit, driving a Mercedes or loafing in JD Sport in a souped up 1.3L 206, they will assume the same thing.

I think this is what we have to battle against.

It’s the same as when young people think that every man over the age of 60 is a potential Jimmy Saville, Stuart Hall, Rolf Harris, Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey etc.
I agree with Bazile.

So right, so thoroughly right.

Only if the measures taken didn't upset their daily life style.

Can you imagine what they would say about the introduction of more CCTV cameras and the increase of stop and searches?

Why have you addressed that to me?

I'm sure if you are a law abiding black citizen in an areas blighted with crime , you would not object to more security - and stop and searches against those reasonably suspected of criminal activity

I think you assume that black people just live in a vortex of criminality. Is that right? I think you might believe this to be true, but in the real world, the world in which I grew up, black people are just like you. They are by and large honest and hard working, and want the best for their kids (ie. they would be horrified to find out that they were members of a gang).

Do you think, perhaps - that you think that black people have a ‘daily life style’ which is different from yours, because you have preconceived ideas which are not valid?
The neighbour thought a burglary was underway and quite rightly called the police. I can’t see why you think colour is relevant.
At the risk of being called racist, (but I will be), the problem is that when the police take measures such as stop and search, the black, "community", take umbrage and complain of racism, yet measures to track down knives and guns need to be used in areas most affected.
This is where Diane Abbot comes out with weasel words to sit on the fence and be racist against the police whilst promising to support the police.
I wonder why where I live we have food banks, plenty of charity shops, unemployment and a raw deal for our youth, but we don't have unelected community leaders, and we don't have tax money pouring in to various schemes to placate the anger and complaints of racism and a raw deal?
Oh, yes, my area is predominantly white. Some violent crime, but no assumed hurt feelings if a baddie gets arrested.
We don't riot, or block the roads, and look on incredulous when th black communities act,in a way that is actually alien to,our British culture.
Now you can go ahead and call me racist.

White privilege.
sp, What are you talking about?

No. That’s not true.

The vast majority of black people don’t ‘take umbrage’.

If you were black, or knew a lot of black people, you’d know that was cobblers.

Your ignorance.

You think that having the police (included police helicopters) called on you when you have legally hired an Airbnb is somehow acceptable because they thought a burglary was underway.

It’s due to your white privilege. You don’t have people looking at you like you’re a thief.
sp is very "fond" of his White Privilege jibe. Like in Zimbabwe perhaps?

He would be all a quiver if I insisted on trotting our "Black Victimhood".

White people will deny it, but let’s be honest - it exists and from the moment you’re born, you are recipients of the privilege.

Don’t get me wrong - I too am the recipient of privilege...I had a good education, which means I go to work in a suit. That means that if I were trying to get into a house, dressed as I normally do, people will assume I’m ‘a good guy’.

But when white people try to pretend there’s no such thing as white privilege...sheesh.
