Is This What A Member Of The British Royal Family Should Be Doing
Meghan Markle has outlined her feminist credentials and declared her commitment to gender equality. Is t right that a member of the British royal family - who’ve traditionally stayed right out of such issues - should be allowed to take such a stance? Have the senior royals made a huge error in allowing her such freedom so early on in her royal life? Are they fearful of saying no to her already, in a similar way to political correctness strongly affecting the U.K. as a whole? Is this the direction the monarchy - who are unelected, let’s not forget - should be heading in?

And as for your additions attracting comments from other members.......well that's what all our additions to a thread do.....unless they are completely ignored.....and then you'd be wasting your time contributing.....except for getting something off your chest, maybe...x

Practically if you are a woman of childbearing age you are far less likely to be employed in the upper echelons of any business because of the risk of your pregnancy. now that is illegal but it happens repeatedly and statistics bear it out that women with better qualifications are perisistently passed over in favour of male colleagues.

My friend (who is a girl) has hairy armpits and loves them. Personally I feel cleaner to be hair free, but it's a choice, and my other half (male) wouldn't ever dream of asking me to shave! It's a personal choice, and nothing to do with feminism.
Spath, I do see your point (shock, horror!! hehe), and humanitarianism seems to be a logical next step. Whilst there are of course places in the world where women aren't treated as equal, let's focus on HUMANS being equal, not just women. Such as the mentally ill, physically disabled, homeless, children etc etc etc. who in many places are not treated as well as others.
