Seems the dodging the ambulance theory may be a bit off.

Naomi - // andy-hughes, //no accusations of terrorism have been brought//

headline to the link in the OP : Man arrested on suspicion of terror offences //

I'm going to offer you the benefit of the doubt, and assume that you actually do now the difference between the word 'accusation' and the word 'suspicion'.
Peter Pedant - // about 2% Sudanis are Christian
so I think you are on a sure thing for Muslim //

Do you know the actual difference between the balance of probability and a sure thing?

Let me illustrate for you - on the balance of probability the sun will rise tomorrow, that the universe will continue to exist if it doesn't, is a sure thing.
Spath as you've gleaned and pasted all your info from the Wikipedia article perhaps you shouldn't have left this bit out
" Lahouaiej-Bouhlel made more or less daily Internet searches for verses of the Koran and "nasheeds" – jihadist propaganda chants. He also researched the Islamic holiday of Eid al-Fitr. Investigators found photos of dead bodies and images linked to radical Islamism on his computer, including the flag of the Islamic State, the cover of an issue of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo – which had been attacked by gunmen in January 2015 – and photos of Osama bin Laden and Algerian jihadist Mokhtar Belmokhtar. He also told friends he did not understand why IS could not hold territory and showed them a video of a beheading on his mobile phone"
andy-hughes, //I have no problem with anyone taking two and two and making twenty-two//

Oh, I do – very much so - but what with that^ and the fact that probability has gone straight over your head, maths is clearly not your strong point.

//like some pipe-puffing beard-stroking guru on matters of terrorism,//

You have to stop doing that. You’re not coming up with rational answers. Could be the smoke.

Get over yourself!

Ironic that I should just have noted that probability isn't your strong point - and having posted that I see a new post from you extolling its virtues. How funny! :o)
Spath you think he did all that in a week?

and as for his dad and brother - well they would wouldn't they

I think you are a pipe-smoking guru - judging by the amount of smoke you blow rather than addressing points made directly to you - do you know the difference between accusation and suspicion?

Clearly I was wrong to give you the benefit of the doubt, you don't now the difference at all, as evidenced by your post which I challenged, and which you have side-stepped - as usual.
andy-hughes, //do you know the difference between accusation and suspicion?//

I do actually – and I don’t side-step – although I do tend to ignore pettiness – hence your frustration.

When are you going to stop your childish sniping and address the thread, or are you using your well known tactic of getting a thread that doesn't fit your agenda closed down?
As maths has been brought up a few times on here I thought I should point out that 4 out of 17 is not "more than a quarter"

When are you going to stop your childish sniping and address the thread, or are you using your well known tactic of getting a thread that doesn't fit your agenda closed down?

One, people in glass houses …

Two, I don't have a 'well-known tactic' for doing anything …

Three, I don't have an 'agenda' either.

What I do have is an aversion to wasting my time responding to off-thread sniping from you, so why don't you practice what you preach and stay out of exchanges that don't involve you.
And they're off!

I'm a bit concerned that the 'ring of steel' including more concentrated CCTV coverage than a Dubai gold market didn't pick up on the same car circling a very sensitive target and nobody thought to stick a BMW behind it and pull him over for a chat.

Are we to believe that all that investment is just for show or at best only there to give a record when it all goes wrong?
Maybe ANPR needs some smart tweeks.
