Some ***head and a load of Germans have decided that this is what the rest of Europe will do.

https://news.sky.com/story/eu-will-scrap-biannual-clock-changes-says-juncker-11486842

\\Following an online consultation, which received 4.6 million responses from across all 28 EU countries, the European Commission has revealed 84% want to abolish the act of daylight saving.// 4.6 million, well, thats it then.

\\For example, roughly three million Germans took part in the consultation (3.79% of the country's population); but less than 15,000 UK citizens participated (0.02% of the UK population) and only around 8,000 Romanians gave their view (0.04% of the country's population).//.................. 3 million Germans.. 15k UK citizens.

Question Author
Mainly germans
Question Author
ahh I see, I meant mainly germans thought it was a good idea, you meant on the other thread.
So only 15000 Brits care enough to respond, just as most Brits couldn't be arsed to vote for an MEP, and then whinge that the EU is undemocratic.

Thechair.

\\So only 15000 Brits care enough to respond, just as most Brits couldn't be arsed to vote for an MEP, and then whinge that the EU is undemocratic.//

were you asked to vote, did you know about it, I wasn't
I wasn't asked to vote either - I explained on the other thread. I don't want to change the system. This is the EUSSR for you. No chance to stand up to it unless we 'take arms against a sea of troubles' (democratically) and by opposing - end them!
yes, I did, sorry to be unclear.
Question Author
My fault jno.
I "voted", I want the daft, arcane practice to end. I am looking forward to it ending.

\\I "voted", I want the daft, arcane practice to end. I am looking forward to it ending.//

how were you asked ?
I wasn't asked either. Are you in the UK Karl?
i would like winter months to have more daylight .....
It's not that the Brits couldn't be bothered to vote, it's that we weren't asked.

If I had been asked I would have voted to stop the pointless clock changes.
"""" \\So only 15000 Brits care enough to respond, just as most Brits couldn't be arsed to vote for an MEP, and then whinge that the EU is undemocratic.// """"""

i agree...bunch lazy ***...any wonder the country is in the state it is
that was lazy ( so d s ) btw
How many were asked?
I wasn't asked and I don't know anyone that was asked.
"So only 15000 Brits care enough to respond,..."

Respond to what? I wasn't asked. I'm fairly savvy with politics, news, current affairs and all that stuff. I didn't see any news of this "consultation".
Iwasn't asked to take part in the survey and, in fact, knew nothing about it.
