Tusk says it undermines the EUSSR single market. Looks like out with no trade deal, which should have happened 2 years ago. We all knew that it is, and always was, the aim of the EU from the day we elected to leave.

Regected .... EUSSR
the sure signs that we have going to have a sane discussion on Brexit!
No surprise there, then. Vast majority of Britons have said it is a non-starter (and I agree) and I certainly expected the EU to reject it.

Good, it has cleared away the dead wood and the 'being nice' offers, so now we can move on with preparing for WTO terms and keep our £39 billion...…………. unless she is so deluded as to give more ground, which would make in inconceivable that it would get through Parliament under any circumstances. Sorted then.
Lol Pete, innit? x
For once the EU have done us a favour.

Meanwhile the Swedish Prime Minister insist that the EUSSR must "force" third world migrants on every member state and the EUSSR offers economic incentives to Africa and Egypt. No deal looks like the best deal.
We all knew that it is, and always was, the aim of the EU from the day we elected to leave.

I thought that they would hope for another vote.
Perhaps the Swedish PM should look closer to home before spouting such tripe.
We need Boris in there giving them all the middle finger. Teresa May is both apologetic in her manner and trying too hard to keep in with the EU. I'm a remainer, but if we have to exit then it should be on our terms not rolling over and playing dead to countries we basically saved for the Nazis in WW11
Vast majority of Britons have said it is a non-starter

whereas a "no deal" has the stunning support of ... 19%. How democratic can you get!

A survey of 1039 people!
With nothing (else ?) reasonable on offer that 19% or whatever it is will inevitably rise considerably. Right now let's get it in place and be done with it.

We Paid the Bill to Free Europe
Perhaps Jean-Claude Juncker could be persuaded to walk past every white grave stone in Normandy and say a personal Hello and 'thank you' to all of those British,American and Commonwealth soldiers who gave their lives so Europe could be free
He should also be reminded that Britain borrowed 120 billion dollars in 1945 to fund this freedom.
And it took the British taxpayers 61 years to repay it.I therefore suggest that the EU repay this figure first, along with all the interest we accrued from that borrowing.
Then, perhaps we can talk about paying our share of his "bar bill."
Lest we Forget.

I know. Disgraceful of the EUSSR to force such an undemocratic result. Still par for the course when the one state bureaucratic rulers of the pyramid scheme get involved in local politics.

How very true Retrocop. The Marshal plan funded by Britain and the US. The US of course using the cash we shelled out to buy the arms to defeat evil and loaning our commitment back to us out of the very same fund, with interest. We helped rebuild all the German and Japanese war factories, whilst neglecting our own, and in due course they were able to decimate our manufacturing industries whilst we paid back the loans that we had taken out to give them a helping hand. Meehh.
Heard yesterday that the EU is infested with Common Purpose ***.
I thought the filthy *** only operated in the UK.
No one wants a No Deal so a last minute deal WILL happen.
Sometimes pig-headedness achieves what one didn't want.
A last minute deal won't solve much if it fails to deliver that which we exited for. It'll be a thorn in everyone's side for decades, perhaps longer.
If only Maggie were here.....

May looks like David taking on Goliath but on this particular day left the slingshot at home in favour of a pea shooter.....and a tin of mushy ones for ammo!
History is being rewritten within this very thread ( again)
Marshall Plan
we werent contributors - we were receivers
altho I was taught as a child that UK was purposely excluded by Truman this appears not to be true
