I don't really know how to answer that tbh, it's such a strange thing to voice I think unless I've misunderstood you. Let's be really honest here MOST men, whatever their social or financial standing are absolutely decent humans beings who would not dream of raping anyone.
kval I'll try and clarify. You made a huge statement that rich and famous men NEVER have allegations thrown at them for rape because most men don't rape. Can't argue about the last part, but my point was how the hell do you know if one of your rich and famous men have sexually assaulted someone? you are making huge assumptions.
The photos of them them together, in the night club, before the intercourse, look to me as if she is relaxed with him and enjoying his attentions.
Yes I know that she has a right to say no right up until the deed. There are only two people who will ever know the real truth.
One has offered a pay off and one has accepted it.
A difficult one

The definition of rape has changed over my lifespan and to me it was a clear incident of a man hiding, skulking in the bushes, in the dark, jumping out at an unsuspecting female, dragging her into the undergrowth, tearing off her clothes and having intercourse with her.
That is my ideal of rape and usually the evidence is clear for all to see....vaginal bruising and tearing, scratching on the inside of the thighs etc.
BUT now.....it is penetration when the woman says .."No!"....husband and wife...boyfriend and girlfriend....one night stands.....and it all depend on the testimony of both parties......
For me, there are degrees of "rape" as it is now described and i would gather, but not sure, that the Judiciary would take this into consideration.....but i fear that it will not.......his word against hers.
The wealthy fellow is a sitting duck.

Dannny...I know1 I know1 I know! that has been thrust down my throat (pun not intended) time and time again, but i was trying to make the point that rape, as i know it) had diagnostic signs whereas the new definition hasn't.
JTH....sorry i don't understand that...the charges or Rape and Assault in it's various forms are different charges.....but my knowledge of the law is minimal.
