If ever proof was needed that she was only after the money.

He was found not guilty but she still pursued the money, and got it. Scottish Justice as it works.

While we're talking about lying women.
The other heroine of the sisterhood, Blazey Ford, has a Go Fund Me page with, last time I looked, $700,000 in it to 'pay her legal fees'.
It was made very clear at the hearing, several times, lol, that her legal team were working pro-bono.
SPICERACK, I had a look at the Scottish Legal Aid Board's site,

"Civil legal aid

This helps pay for your solicitor to act for you in court. It covers the preparation work, as well as the hearing itself, and can provide funding for advocates and experts if needed.

You have to qualify financially for civil legal aid and you may need to pay a contribution towards the cost of your case.If you win or keep money in your case, you may have to pay up to the full cost of the work done for you."

Still think she's lying??
'you may have to'

Yep.
Legal aid has to be paid back. If costs are not obtained from the other side its v often a first charge on any award.

And why shouldnt she claim? If you were injured in a car accident you could still claim damages from the other driver irrespective of any potential criminal liabilty.
And people wonder why some rape victims don’t come forward until several years after the attack.
Just read back some of the responses on this site for your evidence.
ridiculous!
'Legal aid has to be paid back'

Mmm, I'll call BS on that one.
Did you not read that last link I posted?

so will I spicey - the Ball-Shooter is you !
The lady works full time not IN a bar but AT the bar
yeah funny wigs and all that sort of stuff - so she knows um her stuff
a co-worker got legal aid for a divorce ( some years ago) and then had to pay it (all) back when she got a job

not a happy bunny and I said to her to cheer her up : well you could still be married to him !
I don't need to plough through the finer points of Scottish Law, Corby.
Quite right, peter, I do spend more time in the Bar than at the Bar and I'll still call that sentence BS all day long, every day. And I'll be proved right.
I'm fascinated by people who refuse to accept the word of professionals/practitioners about something, on the grounds that they "know...just know..." (with no evidence) the converse to be true.

As I said, the whys and the wherefores of the award are immaterial, the court believed her (and the evidence) enough to award her the money.

There'd be no need for the Government to waste money on Legal Aid if you had to pay it back, jack.
You don't need to be a Professional or the Lord Chief Justice to know that. 2 working brain cells would tell you that.
It seems yours are mis-firing, spicerack....
Read the whole paragraph, svejk.

But by all means sit there all day saying I am talking bs. I couldnt give a ***. My particular brand of bs is currently allowing me to sip cocktails on the beach. Cheers.
But the court/jury didn't believe her, jack.
1 man (sheriff) sort of believed her on the preponderance of the evidence. And he could well be a fully paid-up left-wing social justice warrior like yourself.
He'll dine out on this decision at elite Edinburgh dinner parties for years to come.
Don't backtrack now. You put a statement with a full stop at the end.
You, of all people, should know how to construct a statement.
'Someone' believed her on the preponderence of evidence.

You have absolutely no idea of any of our political allegiances (mine of the people directly involved in the case) so why just not call the case on the evidence therein and the Legal Aid issue on the additional information supplied to you.
