If it is proved without a shadow of doubt then the death penalty should be given. I would much rather that then condoning torture. No matter what the person has done it is sickening to think some people would inflict torture on anyone. That lowers us to the same level as the perpretator.Get rid of them by lethal injection not torture.

Would there be a hierarchy of victims? If the murder of a child merits the death penalty why not the murder of a police officer, or that of a frail old pensioner during a burglary of their home?
