All this Syrian family want is to live their lives in peace, all their children want is to go to school, in peace.
Once upon a time refugees were welcomed here.

You don’t know what racism is, AOG. That’s patently obvious from your obsession with posting about it and your failiure to grasp even the basics of it. Trotting out the word ‘leftie’ is something you’ve learned on here and it does you no favours. In fact it further denudes your already fragile standing on here.
Oh, dear me.
No, I'm not suggesting that all Germans were Nazis. In fact I think only 33% voted for Hitler. And quite a lot of that 33% (sipped off for other reasons) weren't vicious thugs who wanted to gas Jews. And sadder still is that Bomber Harris "they have sown the wind and will reap the whirlwind " inflicted his cruel vengeance on one of the least Nazi cities.
Nonetheless, I wouldn't have supported an immigration policy un the 1930s which invited any German to enter Britain.
I do understand that the all/any stuff is going to be problematical for you.

/// It’s not irrelevant to OG’s comment, AOG ///
Oh yes it is, OG didn't query why they should not migrate from Iraq or Syria, but he was a questioning why they were called refugees when they do not seek the safety of the first country, instead of what country is best for them economically, hence their correct description 'economic migrants'.
