I understand that perfectly. I study languages and slang the world over, one of my interests. So many on here seem to make a song and dance about this sort of thing. I prefer a little colour in my communication.

For what it's worth I think slang and dialects are really interesting and I'd happily chat with you all day about them TTT but not on a thread about other things, it's distracting and awkward x

The interesting question is why a "native-born" (and thus, as I was corrected by a well-informed moderator, nothing to do with current immigration policy) French citizen would shout "Allahu Akbar" and attack his fellow citizens at a Christmas market.

TTT's fondness for argot, back-slang and acronyms distracts from hs purpose in posting the question.

Why would anybody with critical judgment agree with that?

At the very least you would want to know why that religion seems to produce so many fanatics.

You might want to know what the phrase "Allahu Akbar" means, in what contexts it's used, and, if you're reaally curious, the very first time it was used.
