Firstly, I think the thread was never about the assault on this poor girl, it was always about the perceived avoidance of a description of the potential suspect as an Asian, for reasons dreamed up by the writer of the OP.

Secondly, it had spun away from the subject of the victim days ago - I would never be party to 'hilarity' when a serious subject was front and centre on the thread.
