I have yet to hear ONE solid example of this alleged rampant antisemitism in the Labour Party. Innuendos galore, tittle-tattle and gossip, but no hard examples.
Is it just part of the ongoing anti-Corbyn campaign?
People like to bag on about Labour apparently being racist to Jewish people (totally untrue) yet they forget majoy things in the party that are actually leading this country into a new age of political revolution such as windrush... Which is totally being ignored
lets not forget the 2013 "go home vans"
Oh and Boris Johnson was strongly criticised for allowing columnist Taki Theodoracopulos to publish racist and antisemitic language in the spectator..
Yet people prefer to focus on the political party who is totally moot at the moment in society, they have no power no leadership obligations, yet people are focusing on them... Why?
Anyway that Facebook thing is about the Israeli government - the old nonsense, “Don’t criticise the Israeli goverment else we’ll call you antisemitic.”
Cheers danny, some antisemites being removed from the party to me indicates the party is not antisemitic. People calling JC an antisemite doesn't make him one.
The Labour MPs -- or ex-Labour MPs! -- complaining about it are not "the media". Nor is the Jewish community as a whole, many of whom are worried about it to the point of protesting, or thinking of leaving the party altogether.
There's no harm in wanting to see more concrete evidence. But one also has to listen to those complaining about it, rather than instantly rush to implicate them in a conspiracy against Corbyn.
Jim. Not helpful, and I didn’t mention the pernicious media campaign. There are elements of the Jewish community who are anti-Corbyn for their own reasons, but to shout ‘antisemitism’ is a trite, ill-considered option - where is the evidence?
Many on the left are anti the Israeli government and at the same time 100% against antisemitism.
